Innovation in electronic technology has come a long way. The new generation of smartphones is astonishing in terms of features and capabilities. And consumers are faced with the problem of choosing which operating system to go with, Android or iOS, getting more and more lost in the range of products offered by manufacturers.
The most popular mobile brands are Samsung, Sony, Huawei, ZTE and Apple. There is a popular belief among the sellers of these products: once you have used iPhone, you will never go back to Android. What does it mean? Let us dwell on these notions.
Memory capacity
Android and iOs are types of operating system. The most important parameter describing their speed and efficiency is memory capacity.
When buying, the golden rule is known to apply: a reasonable quality-price ratio. In other words, the lower the price of the product, the less RAM capacity it has. This is a kind of “scourge” for those running on Android. With iOs, you can forget about this parameter forever. More affordable is Android, and the most prestigious remains iOs. Switching users from one operating system to another is a matter of taste and availability of funds.
Android and iOS functionality
The second, but not the least important factor in evaluating the operating system is such a parameter as the functionality of the operating system. When buying a new device it is important to remember that the system already comes with preinstalled programs – the basic set from the manufacturer.
It is up to the purchaser to decide what to keep, what to delete and what to replace with more familiar versions. And this is where users are likely to have questions. Since iOS is somewhat more secure than its Android counterparts, the pre-installed programs are more difficult to remove, and in some cases simply impossible. Android users are more likely to install additional programs. However, when loading a large number of versions at the same time, the operating memory is catastrophically low. Furthermore, when installing new applications, one has to constantly take care of security by using anti-virus software.
Who likes what
Users often don’t care about the speed of the iOs operating system and simply work with pre-installed apps, while other users choose cheaper Android models and regularly install apps manually.
Security
The security of the operating system is higher on iOs than on Android. The App Store has a higher level of security, so there is almost no malware on the system.
On the Google Play app shop, however, users are more likely to download programs that bypass the stringent security checks of the shop’s consultants. Therefore, there is a high probability of running malware along with the installation of new software, which is why antivirus updates for Android are in high demand.
So, talking about the different brands in the smartphone line-up, iOs has only one brand – Apple. Android has a great many of them. Consequently, in the price range of a single brand, the value doesn’t change that much. Apple smartphones are priced higher than Android smartphones.
The choice between the two operating systems is easy, as they do not differ significantly in their capabilities. The interface is chosen visually, according to whether you like it or not. The operating system on iOS has better security. The price of this option is also much higher.
If you are buying for the first time and are not strapped for cash, it is better to buy the Apple. If you do not have the necessary amount of money, it is worth choosing the best device based on Android, based on its features and functionality.
